The seriousness of CICAP's actions also lies in its proselytizing, an attempt to transform science into scientism through a work of catechization. As a result, new organizations are emerging that spread CICAP's scientistic ideology online. A recent example is GEOPOP, which is rampant on the web like a pied piper, attracting curiosity with current topics and then working to convince others with a clear CICAP influence. Since many people are asking GEOPOP to address the topic of dowsing, I'll be waiting for them to publicly refute them. Considering that Andrea Moccia is a geologist, he will be able to evaluate what I have said!

Many people will be surprised by the numerous overwhelming pieces of evidence that question and condemn the work of those who, associating themselves with controversial figures such as former circus magician James Randi, the inspiration and master of CICAP, have repeatedly spread fake news against parapsychology and other natural and scientific disciplines, contemptuously labeling them as ” pseudoscience.
Many people wonder why CICAP and some skeptical deniers refuse to verify statements supported by official evidence, when according to CICAP's own statute (Comitato Italiano per il Controllo delle Affermazioni sul Paranormale e le Pseudoscienze, Italian Committee for the Control of Claims about the Paranormal and Pseudoscience) such verification should be an obligation.

Let's now discover the background to the actions that have damaged Italian culture, particularly in relation to the disciplines opposed by Piero Angela, James Randi and CICAP.
Piero Angela sent two young men, Lorenzo Montali and Massimo Polidoro (now secretary of CICAP), giving 10 million lire to each to study in the United States. Polidoro trained directly with James Randi, who, as he himself admitted, once the crime had fallen under the statute of limitations, did not hesitate to use illegal means to pursue his own ends.
What strikes an honest person most is seeing James Randi proudly recount his illegal actions during a CICAP conference, while Massimo Polidoro smiles smugly and Piero Angela, with a mocking expression, addresses Randi and the audience saying: “...when you find dishonest people...”

The ignored evidence
Deniers often argue that CICAP cannot verify paranormal phenomena in the absence of official evidence. However, in my specific case, there is official evidence that CICAP has refused to examine, preferring to ignore the reality of certain phenomena.
ITALGAS case
An official certificate from the Municipality of Rapallo attests to my success in discovering an aquifer with a flow rate of 1,200 liters per minute, after 85 years of failures by geologists and water diviners.

CICAP was absent, as was Radio 2, but that's not all! Veronesi and Cervelli refused to let the public know the outcome of the VALDIERI CHALLENGE... A disgrace for Italian journalism!
Fake news e manipolazione
Despite my repeated willingness to allow scientific verification of my abilities (documented here: https://www.rabdomanzia.com/corrispondenza-maurizio-armanetti-cicap/), CICAP has continued to spread false news claiming that I refuse all tests. In reality, I refuse pseudoscientific tests. Science, real science, studies phenomena starting from observational study, it doesn't come up with Randi-style tricks to deny phenomena!
They have even published an article online entitled “Dowsing: when it becomes impossible to experiment” and, in this YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIidlOMEOWM, minute 20:50), Polidoro continues to spread false statements, preventing me from replying in the comments.
Conclusion: Science or charlatan?
Polidoro and CICAP insist on pseudoscientific tests learned from the dishonest liar James Randi, designed to discredit, not to verify. It would be like judging a violinist by forcing him to play an out of tune violin!
In light of the documented evidence, the challenges accepted but ignored by CICAP, and the false information publicly disseminated, can we say that CICAP makes science quackery?
Yes.
Because when science becomes selective, ideological and dishonest, it ceases to be science.

And what will CICAP do?
